Cyprus, the country with so many possibilities has a wide variety of landscapes. The location, the climate, and many other aspects have created the Cyprus into what it has become nowadays.
While visiting Cyprus, you will have the chance to go to the mountains, beaches, forests, etc. Because Cyprus is an island in the Mediterranean, you would see the harbors along the coastlines, a view that you should absolutely spot. Moreover, there is not only one type of sand on the beach, but different areas offer different kinds of sands. For example, in the Avia Napa, you will see the yellow sand while in Larnaca, the sand has dark gravel form.
Furthermore, the mountains landscapes are among the famous ones. The cliffs and rocks on the mountains have different and unique structures, making mountains places to visit during vacation. In Cyprus, the most famous mountains are Troodos and Besparmak. The reason why they are so well-known is because they are the two highest mountains in Cyprus.
Troodos is located along the southern and western part of Cyprus, while Besparmak goes along the north coastline, and the Central Mesaoria Plain separates those mountains. Millions of years ago, before Cyprus arose to the water surface due to the plates collision, Troodos had already appeared above the sea surface.
Troodos has different types of high quality soils, and combined with the climate, the result is the great variety of plants species, making it an interesting activity to walk through the forest of Troodos, especially during the spring season.
Moreover, because of its location, the highest part of Troodos makes a great place for a winter holiday. During the winter, this mountain is covered with snow, so visitors are able to do winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, etc.
With the great diversity of landscapes, Cyprus can offer much more than other countries.
